Lavender & Tree

Something about this tree with the lavender growing around the bottom of it really appeals to me, but haven't been able to figure out why. I'm sure it has something to do with the juxtaposition of lines. Thanks, Pammy Jane!

My friend, Pam Klebaum, posts inspirational photos on her blog on the days she has no art to post. I am blatantly copying her today and may do so again in the future!

I pass this tree every day on my walk to work and I just love to watch the changes it goes through. Right now there are several layers of bark visible, from the newest to the oldest. Beautiful color and texture changes.
