Once Again

Once more, there is a wildfire in the hills behind Santa Barbara. This fire is in the unburned area between what burned during last July's Gap Fire and last November's Tea Fire. And once again, we are under a high wind warning. For the past few days the temperatures have been in the 70s until near sundown when the wind kicks up and the temperature rises. No homes have burned in this Jesusita fire yet, but there is a large mandatory evacuation area. It will be another long night in Santa Barbara.

I've been following the fire and thinking of you. Yesterday afternoon down our way the sky was full of dark brown, gray and orange smoke. I could tell the fire had worsened and then this morning on the news I heard that approx 20 homes have been lost! Santa Barbara has really had a rough year! Take care!
